Is Alderfest suitable for families and children?

Yes. Alderfest is designed as a family‑friendly festival with activities, entertainment and facilities suitable for children of all ages. Families are welcome throughout the festival site, and there are quieter areas available for those who need a break.

Tickets for Alderfest 2026 can be purchased directly through the official Alderfest website. You can view current ticket options, including day tickets, weekend tickets, camping and upgrades, on the Alderfest Tickets page.

Friday- Gates open at 4pm and music starts at 5pm

Saturday- Gates open at 11am and music starts at 12pm

Yes. Re‑entry is permitted, provided you retain your wristband and follow the festival entrance procedures. You cannot re-enter after 9pm

Yes. Parking is available for £10 per day

Yes, there is a free bus available from Sainsburys, Tesco and Whitchurch Train Station throughout the weekend.

Yes. Camping at Alderfest is family‑friendly, and many families choose to stay on site for the full weekend. Quieter camping and glamping options are also available.

Yes. Campers are free to come and go between the campsite and the festival site during opening hours. You cannot re-enter the festival field after 9pm.

Yes. Campervans and touring caravans are welcome, provided they meet the required criteria. Please see the Camping page for full rules and pitch details.

Yes. The lake is open 12pm-5pm for swimming, paddleboarding etc.

You are welcome to bring your own food to the festival and campsite. A small amount of alcohol is permitted on the campsite only. A wide range of food traders will also be available on site.

Yes. Alderfest offers a range of food traders with family‑friendly options, suitable for children and a variety of dietary needs.

Yes. For safety reasons, some items are not permitted inside the festival or camping areas. A full list of prohibited items will be shared ahead of the event.

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at Alderfest, including the festival site and camping fields. Assistance dogs are the exception.

The site includes toilets, showers (for campers), food outlets, parking facilities and accessible areas. If you have specific access requirements, we recommend contacting the team ahead of your visit.
